It happens to all of us at some point. Maybe you were doing yard work and forgot to close the garage door when you put away the tools. Perhaps the kids were out in the yard playing and needed the door open to put their bikes or skateboards away, and forgot to close it behind them. Whatever the case, you found the garage door standing open hours later. You might think this is no big deal, but it is actually a serious issue.

Rewiring your home’s garage is either a choice or a necessity. Either way, unless you’re a certified electrician, this isn’t a task you can simply dive into. Perhaps you want more outlets in your garage, or want to add a clothes dryer or air compressor. Or, if your garage is old or has bad wiring, you may have to rewire it to protect your home and family.

The garage is considered an all-purpose area in which we keep every household product that is deemed unsafe for storage inside day-to-day living spaces. While the garage might be a separate area away from the family, it’s imperative you maintain strict safety within the area to help protect your family and those living nearby from potential contaminants.
